Q - How do I stop receiving email messages when someone posts to a forum?
If
you are receiving messages it means
that you are "subscribed" to that forum.
Go to the
forum page and find the "Unsubscribe" link. Click it to stop receiving emails from the forum.
TIP: check your "Forum
auto-subscribe" option in your profile. Also watch out for the option
to subscribe when you post a discussion topic to a forum.
Q - How do I stop others seeing my email address?
Look for the "Email display" option in your profile. You can choose to hide the address from everyone or just let people on the same Moodle 'course' as you see it.
Q - I don't want any emails from Moodle at all.
Easy - choose an option in the "Email activated:" selection.
